Our Why
Not another dating app with an Islamic label.
We built the system around the Wali from day one — not bolted on as a setting, and not an afterthought once the swiping was already built.
Every existing option asked families to compromise.
Mainstream matrimonial apps were built for browsing and direct messaging first, with guardianship added later as an optional setting most people never enable.
We started from the opposite direction: what would a rishta platform look like if the Wali was central to the architecture, not a checkbox in a profile form?
What changes when the Wali is central
✓Requests are reviewed before any contact happens
✓Photos stay private until consent is given
✓Communication flows through a guided family thread
✓The process mirrors how rishtas have always worked
What we stand for
Dignity First
Every family is treated with the respect their intentions deserve, not as users to be engaged.
Guardianship, Not Gatekeeping
The Wali role empowers protection, not control for its own sake.
Privacy by Default
Nothing is public unless a guardian chooses to make it so.
Faith-Forward Design
Every decision, from copy to layout, is measured against Islamic principles first.
